I’m a Composer, Sound Designer, Sound Technician and Performer... For the past 15 years I've worked in Theatre, Street Performance, Cabaret and in the Fine Arts, frequently collaborating with Outdoor, Devising, Movement and Circus based companies (Cartoon De Salvo, London Bubble, Company FZ, Strangelings, The World Famous, Acrojou, and The National Centre for Circus Arts).
My work mixes up the sound worlds of the acoustic, the purely electronic, the melodic, the abstract and everything in between. I've composed for choirs, scored for live music ensembles, as well as regularly incorporating field recordings into both soundscapes and musical compositions.
I have many years of experience in designing, assembling and installing sound equipment with multiple speaker systems, creating and operating complex sequenced audio cues as well as engineering and mixing for Ensembles, Singers and the Spoken Word.
Starting out as a home producer and musician, recording with many local artists, I later studied Drama at The University Of Manchester, then took an MA in Theatre Sound and Composing at The Central School Of Speech And Drama.
Recent work includes a new outdoor tight-wire piece “Body Of Wires” for Dizzy O’Dare and working as a core-artist, performer and composer on the 2 year collaborative project “Articulate”. This project, curated by SeaChange Arts, brought together artists from France, Belgium, Holland and the UK, touring to outdoor festivals around Europe with the devised piece “Looking for Paradise”.
